    What is Regenerative Medicine?

Regenerative medicine is the term applied to a field of medicine that works to repair and regenerate human disease and injury. Conventional treatment often applies a “band-aid” to medical conditions, which are not able to effectively repair the issue at hand. Examples would include conditions such as arthritis in a joint, organ failure, cardiac issues, neuropathy, etc. Regenerative Medicine does not just involve cellular therapy. Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy and Exosome therapy also helps repair and regenerate tissue.

Is Cellular Therapy Right for Me?

If you’re suffering from chronic pain, stem cell alternative treatments may be the best option to surgery for you. Our patients who find the most success with regenerative injections are those who have tried everything–from pain medications and anti-inflammatory injections to chiropractic care, physical therapy, and more.
At Optimal Medical Group, we administer Platelet-Rich Plasma and Exosomes through Local Injections and IV Infusions Cellular therapy has the potential to slow the progression of various diseases such as:

    FAQ

What are the different kinds of Stem Cell Alternative Treatments?
There are two primary stem cell alternative treatments used in modern regenerative medicine: exosomes and platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Exosomes are tiny extracellular vesicles that act as cell messengers, delivering proteins, peptides, and genetic signals that help coordinate tissue repair and cellular activity. Rather than turning into new cells, exosomes support how existing cells function and respond to injury or inflammation.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is derived from a patient’s own blood and processed to concentrate platelets rich in natural growth factors. These growth factors support healing, circulation, and tissue renewal by stimulating the body’s repair response at a cellular level. PRP cannot replicate or differentiate into other cell types, but it plays a key role in signaling and tissue support. Both exosomes and PRP serve as effective stem cell alternatives by promoting regeneration without using embryonic or adult stem cells.

Is one type of stem cell better than the other?
In clinical practice, neither exosomes nor platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is universally better, as they work through different biological mechanisms. Exosomes function as powerful cell messengers, delivering signals that influence how existing cells repair tissue and regulate inflammation, without containing any living cells or risk of uncontrolled replication. PRP, on the other hand, provides a concentrated dose of growth factors from the patient’s own blood to stimulate local healing, circulation, and tissue response. Both treatments support the body’s natural repair systems rather than creating new cells, and the choice between them depends on the specific condition being treated and the type of cellular response desired.
    Does Insurance cover cellular therapy?
Insurance does not currently cover new technologies such as stem cell alternative procedures.
    Are the procedures painful?
The only discomfort is minimal and associated with the injection.
    Are the procedures effective?
Yes, these procedures are considered effective when used appropriately and for the right indications. Exosomes and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) work by supporting the body’s natural repair processes through cell signaling and growth factor release, which can lead to measurable improvements in tissue quality, function, and recovery for many patients. Outcomes vary based on the condition treated, overall health, and treatment protocol, but clinical use and patient experience show consistent benefits when these therapies are part of a properly selected and supervised treatment plan.
What will happen after the procedure?
Patients can go home after the procedure is completed. Optimal Medical Group recommends that patients take it easy for the first 24 hours after the procedure. After that, activity may be performed as tolerated. Your physician will discuss specifics with you on the day of your procedure.
